We are pleased to announce that we are working to exhibit Romanian, Italian, Spanish, and Portuguese masks from the collection generously loaned by Nacho Rovira to this beautiful and prestigious Galician ethnographic museum.
The exhibition will feature 54 masks from AyV along with masks from the Museo do Pobo Galego’s own collection. We present the show previously exhibited at the Museum of the University of Valladolid, now improved and expanded.
The exhibition curator and coordinator of MASKS, Professor Pilar Panero, has traveled to Santiago de Compostela to work collaboratively with MPG conservator Belén Sáenz-Chas Díaz and other members of the institution’s team.
Behind the camera: Jesús Caramanzana from Producciones Carrera.
We at MASKS would like to express our gratitude for the kind welcome.
