The Universidad de Valladolid (UVa) is one of Spain's leading higher education centres, with a long tradition dating back almost 800 years, making it one of the oldest universities in the world. It is made up of four campuses -Valladolid, Palencia, Segovia and Soria-, which host more than 28,000 students annually, with more than 190 research groups of excellence, 29 doctoral programmes (14 with Honourable Mention; of which, 13 are inter-university programmes, which means the use of cross curricula with other Spanish educational institutions) and 68 postgraduate programmes, accredited International Relations and Research Centres.
UVa has actively participated in different European projects (106 European funded projects for research and development; 40 projects in H2020 GrantedProjects, of which 12 were coordinated projects; and 66 projects in other European funds, of which 9 were coordinated by the university), at research or training level, in the period 2014-2020.
