Under the theme ‘Polyphonies. The cultural diversity of the territory’, this edition will explore the richness of cultural diversity in rural areas from multiple perspectives. An open and plural approach to rethinking the present and envisioning the future of rural life.
Our principal researcher, Professor Pilar Panero (University of Valladolid), will moderate the panel discussion “Carnivals and masquerades: resistances, subversions and self-organization”
Participants include: Roberto de la Torre Camiña (documentary photographer), Marlene Lebreiro (Associação Lagarto, Entrudo de Vilar de Amargo, Portugal), José Javier Sánchez Hernández (Mascaraza – Provincial Federation of Masquerades of Zamora) and David Mariezkurrena Iturmendi (Historian and ethnographer, Navarra).

The #CulturayRuralidades program will feature debates, project presentations, talks, workshops, and artistic performances, all of which are free to attend upon prior registration.
